BRAND STRATEGY

GRAPHIC DESIGN

ISEP VISUAL IDENTITY & LOGO DESIGN

From 2014-2017, I led an organizational-wide rebrand as the Marketing and Creative Director at ISEP Study Abroad. The project resulted in a completely new visual identity, editorial style, website,  intranet, and student portal and marketing department. I started the process leading the business  through an intensive couple months of design thinking workshops, where we built a business model canvas and plan, as well as identified key stakeholders. Using LEAN branding strategies and agile design sprints, I worked both managing outside vendors and developers, and served as the creative director for all projects.

After conducting months of user research, my team and I intentionally chose a visual identity that would have no primary color to represent the diverse network of people and cultures that make up the international membership (50+ countries).

ISEP NEW BRANDED ASSETS

For staff business cards, they come in 12 color variations to allow employees to pick a color that best suits their personality and cultural context. This was helpful in adopting the brand and making it resonate with ISEP staff. At B2B conferences and events, having a vertical business card, with varying colors and a thick card stock, has helped us stand out from the competition.

HEALTHCARE IS A HUMAN RIGHT CAMPAIGN

The Vermont Workers’ Center is leading a multi-stage Healthcare Is a Human Right campaign, which has mobilized people across Vermont to demand human rights-based health care reform. I was in charge of designing two advocacy posters. My graphic design approach was to incorporate illustration, to evoke the feeling one gets when viewing screen print posters used in the 60's and 70's.

DIGNITY IN SCHOOLS CAMPAIGN

The Dignity in Schools Campaign (DSC) challenges the systemic problem of pushout in our nation's schools and advocates for the human right of every child to a quality education and to be treated with dignity.  I was in charge of creating the graphic designs, t-shirts and 11 videos for the 4th Annual National Week of Action Against School Pushout

IMAGINE PALESTINE CAMPAIGN

In 2011, while at The New School, I took a course on brand strategy and graphic design which focused on identity design, visual research, and the creation of logos, applications and ephemera for promoting a service or product.

Our assignment was to re-brand Palestine and create products to encourage tourism in Palestine through the promotion of its people and culture. It was important to re-brand Palestine in a more positive, humanistic light and as a country that also wanted peace, which is often misrepresented in mainstream media.
